On Friday, we visited Daddy at work for their Halloween party! Kelby slept through the entire party and MacGyver acted as the vacuum cleaning up any/all spilled food! Chris dressed-up as one of his co-workers (the fourth guy from the left) and ended up winning the costume contest! It was based on applause and even though MacGyver barked for someone else, I'm sure Kelby and my cheering helped him win!

He Already has an Allowance and Savings?
Kelby got to take part in his first family monthly financial meeting time. He learned about his allowance, his savings and his college fund! He is quite financially responsible for only being 3 1/2 weeks old! (Thanks, Daddy!)

MacGyver's Taken a Second Job
MacGyver is doing a good job protecting us! Not only does he inspect all groceries when you get home, he now inspects the diapers to make sure there aren't any problems!
Somehow, when I was changing Kelby yesterday, he got one off the shelf of the changing table!
(If you have your sound turned on, you'll have to excuse Kelby. He was a bit cold because we were in the middle of changing his diaper...I just had to capture MacGyver!)

Celebration Weekend
We went to Grandma's and Grandpa's house this past weekend!
Grandpa Paul turned 60 on Friday and after a late night out at the casino with friends (he claimed he actually won money!), he needed some good cuddle and nap time with Kelby in the morning...
...and a little more in the evening while watching football couldn't hurt!
On Sunday, Grandma and Zia (Aunt Mel) threw a welcoming party for Kelby. They decorated the table as a cute bed!
Grandma Mary (one of our oldest family friends) got Kelby a very cute cake.
Luckily, Great Grandma Dorothy got there early, as she didn't want to share Kelby! She got in a lot of good cuddling time!
Zia had some blank quilt squares that people decorated when they got there. She is going to sew them into a quilt for Kelby! Cousin Tammy and Cousin Julie are working on theirs.
We had fun visiting with lots of family and friends we don't get to see that often any more!
Grandma had people bring books instead of cards - Kelby got loaded up with lots of great books (as well as lots of other good baby stuff)!

Kelby's pet MacGyver, or MacGyver's pet Kelby?
On Friday MacGyver wanted to join Kelby for lunch.
Then Mom and Kelby went out for their first errands, just the two of them. MacGyver didn't even go his usual lookout by the front door -- he just waited by the garage door for them to come back!

Merry Early Christmas
Grammy Carrie was super excited today when the FedEx man brought Kelby's early Christmas present - a swing! Today was her last full day with us, so she wanted to put it together and see how he liked it!
He loved it!
MacGyver enjoyed being with Kelby all day - he even licked his foot this morning when Kelby and I were looking for some clothes to wear! Here, MacGyver is enjoying some tummy and floor time with Kelby - lots of sniffing took place. I'm trying to figure out how to train him to smell a poopy diaper...
MacGyver is also enjoying all of Kelby's soft blankets and found the teddy bear Uncle Ove left to be a perfect pillow to go with the blankets!
Last night was Kelby's first night in his bassinet. MacGyver alerted us that there was someone in there, and, once Chris showed him it was Kelby, he spent the rest of the night at the foot of the bed keeping and eye on him. I see a good friendship forming here! :)

Greats Came for a Visit
Great Grandma Dorothy, Great Auntie Kathy and Great Uncle Ted came to meet Kelby today. He slept peacefully while everyone met him, but obliged in opening his eyes to say goodbye!
Kelby enjoyed story time with daddy before bed.

Tchuss, Onkel Ove!
Today we had to bid farewell to Onkel Ove.

After lunch at Red Robin and dropping Ove at the airport, Kelby took his first family walk.

Then Grammy and I gave Mom some much-needed bonding time with just her and her son, and we went shopping. At Ikea I found the most awesome play mat including roads, mountains, a circus, and even a greenhouse! We then went to Toys R Us to get some cars.
When we got home, MacGyver and I played with the cars, since Kelby is still too small :-)

6 days old: 1st Hard Rock Cafe
We tested out Kelby's stroller today. Chris is an excellent driver, despite his poor vision, and is very impressed with the shocks on the stroller! :D He is also a very good safety monitor, making sure Kelby's car seat is nice and secure in his stroller!
Costco
Babies 'R Us with Uncle Ove
Uncle Ove treated us for dinner at Hard Rock - one of his favorite spots and new to Seattle so he had to check it out before he left town.
Kelby snoozed away while we dined!
