Visit with Ashley and Kurtis

We visited Ashley and Kurtis this weekend.

Kelby had to show off his standing skills...

...and rolling skills (both of which are much better naked!), for Grandpa Troy, Ashley, Kurtis and the rest of the family!

Aunt Nebraska tried to play Barbies with Kelby, but he wasn't quite sure about them, yet. (I'm ok with that...he doesn't need to worry about girls yet! :D)

We then headed to watch the Sounders play the Timbers - another reserve game (hence all the open seats!). It was great to have some space to hang out and enjoy the game.

If you can believe it, somehow Kelby slept through most of the game!

First Day at Beach

We took Kelby down to the beach for his first time. It ended up being cloudy and not so warm, but we had fun anyway! Kelby had a good time feeling the sand and mostly people watching.

We realized that day that he was probably big enough to sit in his stroller without his car seat. Silly us tried this at the furthest point away from the car so ended up carrying the car seat with us! :) He liked being able to sit up and look around.

Ultimate Frisbee

Chris and some of his co-workers decided to play Ultimate Frisbee after work some days. Kelby and I took advantage of the gorgeous weather and headed to the park to watch. The first day (which is in this video) was hilarious watching them figure it out. The second day they already looked like pros!

It was pretty windy, so it made for more entertainment watching the team going into the wind. However, there were some pretty amazing catches, too!

Nona the Perfect Feeder

I believe Nona scored 6-2 with feeding - 6 perfectly clean bibs (I don't think I've ever had 1!!) and 2 with very minor spills on them! Still not quite sure how she did it even though I was sitting and watching most of the feedings!

The Man Highchair

Kelby has taken to sitting in his highchair with his feet up.

And we found a new feature - it reclines! I guess it's a baby recliner? Grandpa and GramBob - he's ready to recline with you now! :)

Nona spent the weekend with us. She and Kelby had a great time eating (and playing) together!

First Sounders* Game

*It was a minor league game, although some of the players who play in the regular games started this game.

It was free (which is always awesome!), so a great way to take Kelby and see how he'd do. He did awesome! He wasn't too thrilled when people cheered for goals, near misses, or to yell at the sideline ref, although he tried to participate by screaming! :) Other than that, he enjoyed the action and all the people.

Kelby decided to take his friend Ben's car for a spin. He was surprisingly stable!

Cricket

Sunday was a gorgeous day. We went and had a picnic lunch and watched Chris' co-workers play cricket - cricket was a first for all of us! Unfortunately, the way a cricket field is laid out you can't get any closer to the batters than we were - I tried to give Chris a play-by-play (not that I really knew what I was talking about!)! :)
